What is the difference between membership and a subscription at Keepinboxes?+
Membership lets you register on our site free of charge. As a member you can sign in to your dashboard, read detailed information about our services and request a quote for the “Shop for Me” service. A subscription, however, is what gives you an address. Once you subscribe, a Keepinboxes address is assigned to you and you gain the right to have your orders delivered there. In short: Membership = access to information and quote requests. Subscription = a delivery address and storage service.
Why is a subscription required?+
A subscription is what allows us to deliver the service securely and personally. Some of the key benefits it provides: making sure parcels are handed only to the right person (security); sending delivery notifications (SMS, e-mail, WhatsApp) correctly; managing the dedicated steel lockers in the store on a per-person basis. The subscription system is how we keep you safe and keep the whole process transparent and traceable for you.
Do I have to pay when I subscribe?+
Yes. The fee for the plan you choose is charged up front when you subscribe. This fee covers creating your personal delivery address and activating your right to use a steel locker. You are charged only when the subscription starts; there are no hidden fees or extra costs. See our membership page for detailed pricing.
What happens if a parcel arrives for someone without a subscription?+
Shipments that do not belong to a subscription registered in the Keepinboxes system are not accepted. If the recipient details do not match a registered subscriber, delivery does not take place and the parcel is returned to the sender or refused, according to the courier's procedures. For this reason you must create a subscription before ordering and pass your registered Keepinboxes address to the sender in full.
My subscription has ended. Will my parcel still be accepted?+
No. Without an active subscription your shipment is not accepted. Your subscription must be valid for your parcel to reach our store and be stored. Please reactivate your subscription before sending an order.
