keepinboxes

What is keepinboxes?
keepinboxes is a storage platform in Greece that receives parcels and stores them securely in boxes assigned specifically to each user. It is designed especially for users living in Turkey who cannot bring items into Turkey due to customs, taxes, or shipping restrictions, by providing a safe and personal delivery point in Greece.
Is keepinboxes a shipping company?
No. keepinboxes is not a shipping company; the service is limited to receiving, secure storage and managing the user’s assigned box. Customs procedures are the user’s responsibility, and keepinboxes cannot carry out customs procedures on behalf of third parties. If the carrier asks for tax or duty on delivery, we may pay that amount on the user’s behalf purely as a courtesy; it is then collected from the user at the store on pickup.
Who is keepinboxes for?
It is suitable for users living in Turkey who shop abroad (especially within Europe), who cannot or do not want to ship items to Turkey, who travel to Greece periodically or regularly, and who want a safe place to hold their parcels until pickup.
How does keepinboxes work?
The user activates a subscription and receives a personal delivery address. The user shops using that address. When the parcel arrives, it is received, placed into the user’s assigned box, and the user is notified. The user can pick it up whenever they visit.
How are security and access handled?
Each user is assigned a personal box and parcels are stored in areas third parties cannot access. Handover takes place with a single-use Delivery Code created in the dashboard. When creating the code, the user chooses whether they will collect the parcels themselves or authorise another person, and for an authorised person enters that person’s full name. At the store, the person collecting is asked for their name; if it does not match the name on the code, nothing is handed over, and after three incorrect answers the code is cancelled. No ID copy or signature is taken for an ordinary handover. Every handover records the date, time, the person collecting and the parcels handed over.
What are the acceptance and usage rules?
keepinboxes receives parcels only for its subscribers; shipments for people who have never subscribed are not accepted. An active subscription is required to add new shipments. Shipments added while the subscription was active are still received after it ends, and items in the box can always be collected by paying the box rent. Parcel contents are the user’s responsibility. Items on the prohibited list are not accepted.
Who is responsible for shipping and delivery progress?
Correct ordering, correct addressing, carrier selection, tracking, and carrier delays are the user’s responsibility. keepinboxes is not responsible for carrier performance or delays.
How do storage duration and charges work?
Storage starts on the day the parcel is placed into the user’s box and continues until pickup; box rent accrues daily (long-term box renters pay a fixed monthly fee instead). When unpaid rent reaches a set amount, it is charged automatically to the saved card. If unpaid rent reaches the storage limit for the box type, the items may be removed from the box and placed into safekeeping after a written warning; a one-off safekeeping fee then applies (small box €7.50, medium €15.00, large €30.00; in a virtual box the item is sealed where it is and the fee is based on the shipment's volume at €7.50 per 75 litres, up to €50). Details are in the terms of use.
Service fees (price list)
All fees include VAT. Return service: EUR 4.99 — paid in advance with the request; covers handing over a shipment of up to 5 kg to the carrier and two rent-free days on the return shelf. If the request is cancelled on the payment day, the fee is refunded as BoxCredit. Drop-off surcharge: if we hand the parcel over to the carrier ourselves, EUR 0.29 per kg above 5 kg up to 10 kg and EUR 0.49 per kg above 10 kg (fractions proportionally). Pick-up: if the parcel is left at a pick-up point or smart locker instead of our branch, we collect it and place it in your box — EUR 0.99 up to 5 kg, plus EUR 0.29 per kg above 5 kg up to 10 kg and EUR 0.49 per kg above 10 kg (e.g. 10 kg EUR 2.44, 20 kg EUR 7.34); free until 1 January 2027. For shipments over 20 kg the terms and fee are agreed separately. The weight printed on the parcel is used; if there is none, the parcel is weighed at the branch.
What are the limits of responsibility?
